about 321 ⟪THE WALL⟫ *
moooooore…
321 ⟪THE WALL⟫ is a small, grassroots event-booking organization and subsidy of Fiddlehead Audio run by me, Ruby Abley. I have been involved in the tech side of local events since 2021, notably involved with the Poacher’s Arms’ resurgence as a music venue, heading StompFest’s tech team since its inception four years ago, and more recently the tech director for festivals at Honey Dip. Since April 2025 I have been throwing my own events under ⟪THE WALL⟫.
The shows began at my apartment (now homonymous with the organization: ⟪THE WALL⟫) and ranged from soft, intimate acoustic bills to jam nights and collaborative improvisational poetry-writing. In December of 2025 I organized a fundraiser for the international mutual aid organization FoodNotBombs, and enlisted the help of local singer and academic Eleanor Gebrou to lead a discussion on the topic of municipal action towards ending homelessness.
On January 10th of 2026 I collaborated with Dr. Ryosuke Kiyasu’s local contacts and hosted him+three other local noise acts for NOISE @ ⟪THE WALL⟫, and completely filled my space to the brim with people. This was easily my most successful show. You can find clips of it on my Instagram highlights under “NOISE”, and a local photographer/videographer Dani Duesbury made a video about the night which you can watch here:
Later in 2026 I began running events outside of my apartment, notably a series of poetry-writing socials at Studio Coffee and a stand-alone show at Honey Dip. In September of 2026 I began hosting a weekly radio show on 94.9 Radio Western where I perform and discuss solo saxophone with electro-acoustic elements.
321 ⟪THE WALL⟫ aims to expand its operations in 2027 with a variety of larger-scale experimental music and art events at venues outside of home base. It also plans to continue normal operations with smaller, quieter shows in the apartment in downtown London.
