What I Done

I have been doing professional audio work since 2021. I started out with small recording and production projects, culminating in two LPS for Camp Huron. Between the two records I started at the MIA program at Fanshawe College. I was fortunate enough to meet some kind people there named Ró and Sofia who asked me to do sound for shows they wanted to put on. They called it Stompbox, and soon we found great success in the community.

Since then I have been fortunate to do sound for countless acts from across Canada and the US. I led the sound team for Stompfest with Darren Gendron and Diego Torres, a 4-night genre-hopping spectacular. I’ve done sound at many different venues in London Ontario and the surrounding sequesterence of Southwestern Ontario.

In 2024 I got started doing larger-scale production work. I was an audio tech with PYNX, PA Shop Productions, and Horizon Solutions on concerts, conferences, and award nights. This has been different than the loud, brash world of local music but is very rewarding. Every show I notice another detail about how the technology behind all this works.

I have engineered and produced recording projects for myself and others. I am credited on others’ releases as Oscar Abley, while my personal releases fall under the monikers Olive Branch and Off Again. I have recorded with Anddre & The Reflections, Juice Joint, fwa graw, “OH, BERLIN”, NESS, Victory Over The Sun, artistbasm, creedploule, and others.

I still record, but these days I’ve been having a lot of fun working on my guitar and learning about soldering instead. I have been fixing a lot of cables. I also do sound regularly at The Poacher’s Arms. I am open to work, so if this all really piques your interest you should email me.
